Sauna Emergency Procedures
These sauna emergency procedures explain how Sauna Hus prepares for and responds to unexpected situations. While emergencies are extremely rare, clear procedures help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and staff. Our team is trained to act calmly and appropriately should any issue arise during a session.
Sauna Hus operates within the Cyder Farm campsite in Suffolk and follows structured safety protocols for small group sessions. Staff are present during operating hours and emergency access routes are maintained at all times.
Feeling Unwell in the Sauna
Heat affects everyone differently. If you begin to feel dizzy, lightheaded or uncomfortable:
- Leave the sauna immediately
- Inform a member of staff
- Sit or lie down in fresh air
- Drink water and cool gradually
Guests are encouraged to listen to their bodies and exit the sauna before discomfort becomes severe. Cooling down and hydration are always prioritised.
If symptoms persist or appear serious, staff will assess the situation and contact emergency services if required.
For additional guidance before attending, please refer to ourย sauna use guidelines:

Dehydration and Heat Awareness
Hydration is essential before, during and after sauna use. Signs of heat exhaustion may include headache, fatigue, nausea or weakness. If any of these symptoms occur, leave the sauna and cool down gradually.
