What Is a Horsebox Sauna?
A horsebox sauna is exactly what it sounds like: a mobile sauna built inside a converted horse trailer. We restored and insulated the vintage Rice horsebox by hand, then fitted it with a traditional wood burning stove. Additionally, the interior is clad in spruce and fitted with benches to stretch out or sit close to the stones. Have a look at the conversion and build project
As a result, this mobile space delivers real heat, soft steam (löyly), and full-body warmth — just like a cabin sauna would, but in a form that can travel and adapt.
A Suffolk Sauna With Soul
We didn’t build Sauna Hus to be trendy. We built it to be slow, personal and natural. The horsebox sauna now sits beside a freshwater lake, looking out over open Suffolk countryside at The Cyder Farm.
As part of the experience, guests move between heat and cool naturally:

- Step outside into the air or rinse in the cold shower
